Week at a Glance: The Inside Story
Inch by inch, pound by pound, slimhood is becoming a reality. I know. You didn’t lose twenty pounds last week. But there you go with your unrealistic expectations again. Stop disavowing each pound you’ve lost as unimportant. Accept the place you are today, and feel your body as it is today. You’ve come a long way in a single month!
Remember, you become a thin person by becoming a thin person, by confronting, acknowledging, and letting go of the fat person.
So relax, let go, and have fun. You’ll only have to get skinny once.
Onward and downward!
In week five, we’re going to stabilize the burn, feed, and wash cycle, by applying all three processes simultaneously. We’re also going to continue to reintegrate all those foods that make life worth living.
You’ll notice that this week there is only one food with a limit on quantity. That’s because I hope you are learning when enough is enough, experiencing that just because something is good, more is not better.
Of course, you are still weighing yourself each and every day, aren’t you? As well as writing it down and telling it to the same person? It’s even more important as your diet becomes more discretionary, more liberating. Unless you are weighing yourself, you won’t know what’s working and what’s not
And, of course, you’re doing the nonphysical exercise that follows each week’s diet Remember, my Beverly Hills Diet feeds all of you, not just your physical form. If slimhood is to become a reality for your mind as well as your body, your soul as well as your stomach, the nonphysical exercises are essential.
Keep your proud sheet going; don’t stop looking in the mirror; keep playing the Sharon Assignment. Ask more than three people the questions. Use the exercises to discover your skinny self.
